Nikki McLaughlin Bsc (Hons) MCSP, HPC, ACPSM, AACP, HND Biomedical Science

Nikki qualified as a physiotherapist from the University of Wales college of Medicine (UWCM). Since qualifying he has been employed by Swansea NHS Trust and Cardiff and Vale NHS Trust (two of Wales’s largest Trusts) building relationships with consultants, other health professionals and developing his career.

In addition to working in the NHS, he is working for the WRU with the Young Ospreys rugby. Nikki can formulate treatment programmes with a holistic approach to rehabilitation, which has proved effective in increasing patient’s successful return to baseline functional levels.

Nikki has been involved in playing rugby all his life, which combined with his extensive sporting physiotherapy experience has equipped him with the necessary skills to assess and treat both amateur and elite athletes.

Rhys qualified as a physiotherapist with 1st class honours from the University of Wales college of Medicine (UWCM). Since qualifying Rhys has been employed by Cardiff and Vale NHS Trust, building relationships with consultants, other health professionals and developing his career.

Rhys has been involved in sports all his life, achieving National honours in Football and Rugby. Rhys has represented Wales Youth, U21’s, Wales ‘A’ and Wales 7’s over the past decade. He has also been heavily involved in playing regional and premiership rugby since 1998. Through these, Rhys has developed a strong foundation and understanding of human movement and the functional demands of competitive and elite level sports.

As a local boy Rhys has identified and witnessed the ever-growing need for local, and accessible physiotherapy services in Caerphilly. His ultimate goal is to provide further access to treatment and care of a high standard, through Baseline Physiotherapy.
